Frequently asked questions
Privacy first
Your goals and habits are personal. We're built with privacy by design so you can focus on what matters most.
Envision ("we," "our," or "the app") is built with your privacy as a priority. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. By using Envision, you agree to the practices described here.
Information stored on your device and in iCloud
When you use Envision, the content you create is saved on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced through your personal Apple iCloud account so it stays available across your Apple devices. This includes:
- Goals and tasks you create (Visions, Rhythms, To-Dos, Schedule Blocks)
- Journal entries and notes (Memory Hooks)
- Photos you attach to Memory Hooks
- Your in-app preferences and settings
This information is stored on your device and in your own iCloud account. It is not transmitted to or stored on servers operated by us. iCloud syncing is handled by Apple under Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy, and we do not have access to the contents of your iCloud data.
Calendar access
If you choose to connect Apple Calendar, Envision accesses your calendar events so it can display them alongside your tasks and help you schedule your day. This calendar information is used only within the app to power these features and is not sent to our servers. You can revoke calendar access at any time in your device's Settings.
Photos
If you attach a photo to a Memory Hook, the app accesses your photo library only to let you select that image. The photo is stored within the app on your device and in your iCloud account. We do not upload your photos to our servers.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Envision uses your device's notification system to alert you. Notifications are optional, do not include sensitive content, and can be turned off at any time in your device settings.
Analytics and third parties
The app may use Apple's standard, privacy-preserving tools (such as aggregate crash and performance reporting through App Store Connect) to help us fix bugs and improve stability. This information is aggregated and does not personally identify you. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking, and we do not sell your data.
Data retention and deletion
Because your data lives on your device and in your iCloud account, you remain in control of it. You can delete individual Visions, Rhythms, To-Dos, and Memory Hooks within the app at any time. Deleting the app removes its data from your device, and you can manage or remove associated iCloud data through your device's iCloud settings.
Children's privacy
Envision is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
As Envision adds new features, this policy may be updated to reflect any changes in how data is handled, and the "last updated" date will change accordingly.
